Samsung has launched the S21 FE phone globally and also in Nepal. Samsung, a well-known brand in offering premium flagship devices also has this culture of providing a “Fan Edition” variant of their flagship phones. FE phones have a cheaper price than their flagship counterparts with corner-cutting on build & camera specs. Earlier, Samsung S21 FE was available to preorder in Nepal from 4th to 10th Jan 2022. Samsung S21 FE 5G Design & Display
Samsung S21 FE borrows the design language from the original Samsung S21 model but the build is a polycarbonate (plastic) one at the back. The display is still a 6.4″ AMOLED panel from Samsung with Full HD+ resolution. For refresh rate, the same 120Hz fluidness is here. The AMOLED display is also an HDR 10+ certified panel protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Also, it is a dynamic AMOLED panel that can vary refresh rates as per the requirements.
Camera
For the optics, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a triple camera setup with 12MP+12MP+8MP resolutions. The main camera is a 12MP and has OIS. The same 12MP resolution goes for the ultrawide shooter but with no OIS. The long-lost sensor on flagship killer phones is back here, i.e, an 8MP telephoto sensor. For video capturing, the phone supports 4K up to 60fps from the main sensor. Similarly, for the front camera, the S21 FE is featuring a 32MP sensor.
Performance
The phone is powered by the last year’s mighty Snapdragon 888 in China & the U.S. and its own SoC, Exynos 2100 for other regions. This is what Samsung follows, it usually offers two variants with two different chipsets according to its selling region. So, the Exynos variant has been launched in Nepal.

The Exynos version reportedly has a throttling issue and not-so-good battery life. Also with improving One UI skin, Samsung has hopefully optimized it to deliver strong performance & value to the fan for the Exynos variant. It has come a long way to deliver a fluid UI for the fans with a pledge for timely updates.
