Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Review
Alpha Display & Striking Design
Bluntly saying, the display of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra feels big whilst superior in every aspect of viewing. Furthermore, the AKG Tuned Stereo Speakers spices everything. It blows directly at the user creating a surrounding effect that gives a joy of ecstasy while watching videos and movies. Also, its under-display Ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor is as fast as Flash from DC.
Its 6.8-inch 120Hz Infinity-O HDR 10+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is at the top of the display game. The company also brings top-notch display in its latest Galaxy S Series. However, later it surpasses its own Galaxy Note Series display. The punch-hole is perfectly placed at the bottom. It feels as if it disappears while gaming and consuming visual content.
Well, I got my hands on the Phantom Silver Color finished version which pleased everyone’s eyes. But it was quite finger-print dents friendly. Plus, the whole phone felt bulky, especially it’s a beefy camera module that the company calls contour-cut. Nonetheless, the gigantic camera sensor inside the camera module makes you go ‘Woah!’, it’s bigger than what Galaxy Note 20 Ultra boasts.
The design, the aluminum frame surrounding the device, and the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus safety along with IP68 Water/Dust Resistant is a pure blessing in terms of safety. However, one-hand use in this device is a bit hard, so I always went for using both hands. While you hold the device in hand, you feel like you’re living a life full of luxury, it’s that good.
8K 108MP 2nd Gen Camera Madness
The Galaxy S21 Ultra rocks an industry-leading 108MP 2nd Gen Camera Sensor setup along with three other different Sensors. They are a 10MP Periscope Sensor, 10MP Telephoto Sensor as well as 12MP Ultra Wide-Angle Sensor. The performance is this setup can be summed up in one word “Beast”.
The 108MP 2nd Gen Camera captures such detailed sharp photos that you can zoom max and see all the small details clearly. The colors pop up beautifully and make the photo vivid, contrasty, and well saturated. The color balance is just picture perfect thereby making the picture life-like. I liked the way the scene optimizer identifies objects and sets the camera module automatically, it always came in handy.
The main highlight of the camera setup was its Night-Mode. It’s by far one of the best Night-Mode I have ever experienced in a smartphone. It’s brighter but at the same time, the details are there with no loss in color. Ultra-Wide Angle snaps super Wide photos with sheer class picture quality. However, getting on to the use of Macro Mode is a bit nag. For first-time users, it will be difficult to find the mode, you will have to take your time.
Coming to Portraits, it’s DSLR. After snapping, you can add bokeh’s and other effects that enhance the blur effect of the portrait shot. The blurring at the edges of the object is super good and accurate. The 10X optical zoom enables sharp pictures from a distance, so saves you from carrying point and shoot or DSLR for zooming. Furthermore, Dual Zoom System assists 100X Space Zoom to zoom in and out faster and snap better photos. Onto recording videos, you can record 8K videos at 24fps. The videos come out super clear and are nicely stabilized.
The 40MP Front camera captures social media-ready selfies. The selfies are super crystal clear and skin tone as well as skin smoothness are nicely managed whilst keeping true detail in check. You can record nicely stabilized 4K videos at 60fps with this sensor.

Ultra Performance
The Galaxy S21 Ultra standout up to its name in terms of performance. Samsung really has overcome its problem of little heating in its last Galaxy Note 20 Series. This time around, no matter how much extreme level you make Galaxy S21 Ultra perform, it doesn’t heat. It might be because of the improved built-in cooling system.
Moreover, 16GB LPDDR5x RAM smoothens everything. From switching between to using heavy applications, this RAM handled everything. Furthermore, the latest Exynos 2100 based on 5nm technology delivers powers like no other. Combining it with powerhouse Octa-core CPU and Mali-G78 MP14 GPU, the performance becomes better.
Octa-core CPU powers everything and Mali-G78 MP14 GPU handles all the heavy graphics works that Galaxy S21 Ultra promises to. I played PUBG in Ultra HD graphics at an Extreme Frame rate and the device didn’t heat, lagged, or even dropped the frame rate. Everything was super smooth and fun. The device even handled PES for hours without any worries.
Plus, the AKG Tuned Stereo Speakers adds a superb audio experience making gaming more fun. These stereo speakers are super good while gaming or while consuming content. This might be one of the best speakers in a smartphone out there. Nevertheless, 256GB UFS3.1 storage fastens content loading and other daily things. Overall, the performance of the device is ‘Ultra’.

Power-packed Battery
Last but not least, let’s talk about the power-packed 5000mAh battery that supplies juice to the device. The latest One UI 3.0 software based on Android 11 comes with good battery optimization that helps to avoid unnecessary battery usage on normal use. On normal use, the Galaxy S21 Ultra can last up to a day whilst 5G on but we do not have a 5G network yet to test it. But soon, we may be able to use 5G that too for free with Nepal Telecom.
However, even while gaming, I didn’t find battery level dropping at a fast pace like other devices. I found the device long-lasting while gaming. But in terms of charging speed, I found it average because it only supports 25W Fast Charging while other devices come with higher speed. Also, Wireless Fast Charging 2.0 is only 15W. In a premium flagship, you would seek a higher charging speed.
Nonetheless, the inclusion of 4.5W Wireless PowerShare, as well as USB Power Delivery 3.0, covers the charging speed flaws. Looking at Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Price in Nepal, these features needed to be added. Overall, the battery performance is praiseworthy because even in heavy use, it remains intact on delivery of long-lasting power backup.

Conclusion
Of course, even a premium flagship definitely will have some flaws. However, Galaxy S21 Ultra hasn’t heavy flaws that would make anyone not buy it. For gamers, content makers, and high-level content consumers, this device is perfect. Plus, Samsung is giving away Galaxy Buds+ in the purchase of every Galaxy S21 Utra. The only thing about the device is its support to charging speed but 25W Fast Charging Speed isn’t bad but is just good. For an average person like us, it is enough.

I didn’t have time to check its support to S-Pen, Samsung Dex as well as Samsung Wireless Dex, and other features. However, the stuff I checked about the device, everything was just ‘Ultra’.
