The Tecno Pova 6 maintains the vibrant gaming aesthetic of the Pova 6 Pro. It closely resembles its Tecno Pova 6 Pro sibling with a flat middle frame, LED strips similar to the Glyph interface, and a punch-hole display. The strips can be customized for music playback, notifications and during gaming as well. For peace of mind against dust and water splashes, there is an IP53 rating as well.
Likewise, the device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. It includes 2160Hz high-frequency dimming and TÃœV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification for eye protection. So whether it’s gaming or a movie session, the device is fairly safe for your valuable eyes.
Performance
Right under the hood, the Pova 6 is powered by the Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, a 6nm 4G processor with two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU handles graphics.
This SoC is also found in popular phones like Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G in this price range. But what sets it apart is its gaming features. The Pova 6 houses a 2871.78mm² VC heatsink and 1700W graphite thermal conductivity to manage heat. Plus, there is Game Space 4.0 for customizing haptics and overall game performance. Tecno has paired the processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Talking of the software, it runs on Tecno’s HiOS 14 based on Android 14.

Camera
Because it’s a gaming phone, it sports a generic dual camera setup with no ultrawide camera onboard. The primary camera is a 108MP sensor and the secondary is a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 32MP front camera. You can shoot up to 2K 30fps videos from both the main and front cameras.

For the juice, Pova 6 relies on a large 6,000mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging, and Tecno includes a 70W charger in the box. Our Verdict
The Tecno Pova 6 fills in a gap of midrange gaming phone in the 30K segment. The Helio G99 processor with such a cooling solution and gaming features should be more than enough for a budget gaming experience. But, Tecno could have provided in a more cheaper price to keep up in the competition. Anyways, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage don’t leave a lot to complain about, so we can let that slide in.
