Design
Let’s start with the design of smartphones. First things: the first design of a gadget is responsible for the first impression of it. In terms of the design, I personally think Samsung A-series smartphones always had a thing about them. Samsung Galaxy A72 also has an edge above Vivo V21 in terms of design and build.
Vivo V21’s both the back and the middle frame are made of plastic. The device has an AG Matte Glass design. Samsung Galaxy A72 has a plastic frame and back panel. It has a sleek design and is very comfortable to hold. Galaxy A72 takes some cues from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series in terms of design.
As for design and color finishes, Vivo V21 comes in two different color variants; Sunset Dazzle, and Dusk Blue. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy A72 arrives in four color variants Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White.
Display
We expect good display quality from premium mid-range smartphones. And both of these devices will not disappoint you in this aspect. Vivo V21 sports a large 6.44-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display which is vibrant and rich in colors. Likewise, Samsung Galaxy A72 features a slightly bigger 6.7 inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display along with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Galaxy A72 comes with a minimal centered punch hole.
Both the smartphones come with a 90Hz refresh rate. A 120Hz display rate would have been much better but still, it is fine for smooth display. Samsung Galaxy also has an IP67 dust/water resistance that Vivo V21 lacks. Although the display features of both smartphones are identical, I would have to say Samsung Galaxy A72 takes the win here.

Vivo V21 Vs Samsung Galaxy A72: Takeaway
Both smartphones have their own pros and cons. Vivo V21 arrives with an impressive display, a powerful mid-range processor, and a decent battery backup along with the support for fast charging. The smartphone’s main USP is the 44 MP selfie camera. Likewise, Samsung Galaxy A72 is also impressive in many ways and disappointing in many other ways too. The phone has a trendy and sleek design that feels very comfortable to hold and features a magnificent and large display. It has a versatile quad-camera setup, with OIS and there is room for improvements. It would have been best if the phone had been equipped with a powerful processor.
