Nepal Telecom and Ncell have decided to provide some relief package to the people, to facilitate the communication in this disaster period due to the flood. As the life and communication for the people in the flood affected areas is tough, the operators have come up with the offer for some relief. Ntc Ncell relief offer will at least provide basic communication to the people in need. Previously NTA had also directed them to provide some services free of charge.
The Flood has affected the Terai region of Eastern and Birgunj area. Most of the southern belt areas have come under the trouble, along with the problem in mobile network.
Ntc Ncell relief offer for flood victims
Here are the offers that the two nation wide mobile operators provided as a relief to the flood affected people.

Ntc relief for flood disaster
Nepal Telecom has decided to provide free SMS for all of their customers, as a relief in this disaster situation. The free SMS is valid for 3 days from today till Shrawan 31, as per their latest Press release. Earlier Minister of Information and Communication Mohan Bahadur Basnet had announced the Ntc free SMS offer in a program in the capital. Ntc believes this free SMS will support the emergency response, relief and alerting people through this. It was during the earthquake period that Ntc provided free call, SMS (including international calls, SMS) to the people. People admired the free call, SMS for a week period, which was a big relief for the communication that time.

Ncell relief for flood disaster
Ncell has announced the following emergency communication to the flood victims.
- Free balance transfer service
- Increment of Ncell sapati
- Start of Emergency contact center at 9008
- As per the directives from NTA, Ncell provided daily 50 free SMS to its customers for 3 days, to help for basic communication and rescue, relief works.
As per the motive to support communication in the flood affected areas, Ncell has increased the Ncell sapati amount and made the balance transfer free.
They have even started an emergency communication center to relay the information about their whereabouts to respective personnel or government officials through the number 9008.
Ncell free balance transfer and Increment of sapati loan amount
The recently doubled Sapati of Rs 40 is now increased to Rs 60, for three days till Tuesday. Ncell applies the same charge of Rs 2.51 for the increased Sapati loan as well. The Sapati amount can be used like the main balance to call, SMS any network, use data services and other Ncell service. Ncell customers can take the offer by dialing *9988#. The free balance transfer in Ncell is also valid till Tuesday.
Ncell Emergency communication center
Flood victims can use Ncell Emergency communication center to relay the information about themselves to their relatives and government officials. Ncell customers in the flood affected area need to call 9008, whereas other network subscribers can make a call to 9809008000 to tell their information.

Ncell says they are continuously working to provide their mobile network to the flood affected people. They claim that 90 percent of their network is currently running well. In the areas inundated with the flood in the equipment room, they are also waiting for the water level to decrease for the operation of generator backup.
