With the complaints about the expensive price of Xiaomi phones in Nepal from customers, it has got a new distributor here. It’s none other than Teletalk private Ltd. which is the distributor for several smartphone brands in Nepal like Colors, Gionee. Teletalk also provides various value-added services with telcos.
Utilizing its nationwide distribution network, Xiaomi phones can now reach to more areas. Before, Vatsel Impex Pvt. Ltd was distributing Xiaomi phones and products solely. Now with the new Xiaomi phone distributor, we can expect the prices of Xiaomi phones to go down in Nepal due to competition among them. Check out the price of the Xiaomi phones below.
GadgetsinNepal made a breaking story for the new distributor of Xiaomi phones before. Now that the prices of Mi phones from new distributors are already out, that rumor or story holds true. It is not clear whether they will separate the market to sell their products or not. It could be the separation from Kathmandu and out of Kathmandu. But it would be an unfair game as Kathmandu, the biggest market is left for just one.

From the price list above, it is clear that Mi phones are cheaper from Teletalk Pvt. Ltd. It will give a good price for the customers. But it is just a temporary one as if Vatsal has to remain in this Xiaomi phone distribution, they will soon revise the price of the phones. This is a bigger advantage to the customers that there is no monopoly price for the Xiaomi phones.
Still, the lowest price in there is higher than that of Indian prices. May due to competition, later the price will come to a point very near to the Indian or that of Chinese price. This will increase the demand of Xiaomi phones in Nepal. We can expect the same for other smartphone brands.
Update: Following the new price from Teletalk, Vatsal Impex has revised the Xiaomi phone price. As they have been selling Xiaomi phones for quite some time, we can now say that they were enjoying Monopoly. Even there was a huge outcry for the massive price difference with that of China or India, Vatsal did not change the price which they could have done from long before.
All the Xiaomi phone prices are now more or less similar. For Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 5 A (3 GB RAM), the price is made little less with Vatsal than Teletalk. But for Redmi 5 plus, Vatsal price is higher than Teletalk. Do check the price comparison between them now.
