Vivo has been making phones for years now targeting youngsters and impressing them with their sleek design and camera focused smartphones. The Chinese company had launched another phone “Vivo V19” back in April with a really good design and camera layout. V19 is a successor to its previous lineup of Vivo V17 series which got popular here. Vivo V19 price in Nepal is NRS. 49,999 and is now available to purchase in Nepal.

Display and Design
Vivo V19 features a 6.44 inches Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Pill-shaped hole-punch camera setup is also fitted into the top left side of the display which feels as like as what Samsung did with its Galaxy S10 +. Surely feels great but kind of copied. The display is very bright, clear, and vibrant which is perfect for watching videos, playing games, and doing other works that require good viewing experience. This great display also houses an in-display fingerprint scanner. Now coming to the design, it is really sleek which is the trademark and identity of Vivo. At the left edge, we can see volume rockers and dedicated power buttons whereas as a Type-C port, 3.5mm traditional headphone jack, and a bottom-firing single speaker grill. At first glance, we can see a pill-shaped hole-hunch in display and a rectangular camera module at the top right backside of the phone. The company logo is also placed at the bottom left placed vertically. The camera module feels a bit bumpy though. Overall, the design of the phone really feels modern and beautiful.
Camera
As for the camera department, Vivo V19 is equipped with a dual front camera fitted in a pill-shaped hole-punch. This setup uses a 32MP camera as a pain sensor and another 8MP ultra-wide sensor for wider selfies. This setup can record videos in 1080p at 30fps. New ‘Super Night Selfie’ feature also helps you in getting perfect selfies at night and low light conditions. But at the back, Vivo V19 rocks a Quad-rear camera setup; 48MP main sensor (Similar to Samsung Galaxy M21), 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and another 2MP depth field sensor all confined in a rectangular shaped camera module. The camera module surely feels a bit bumpy and beefy. This setup is supported by a LED flash and can record videos in 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 30/60fps.
Super night mode, Ultra stable video, Art portrait video, Super Macro, and Bokeh portrait mode furthermore enhances the quality of the images giving users a great experience. The camera overall does a good job with its fined detailed, well saturated, balanced, and vibrant images.

Performance, Software, and Storage
To deliver performance, Vivo V19 is equipped with Snapdragon 712 chipset (Same as Realme 5 and 5 Pro) supported by Octa-core CPU and Adreno 616 as GPU combined with the latest Android 10 OS out of the box skinned with Vivo’s own Funtouch 10.0 UI. The specification seems a bit low for its price tag because these specs can be found in budget-midrange segment smartphones nowadays. Here it doesn’t mean the performance is low and something wrong about the gaming experience.
As for the storage, Vivo V19 offers two different storage options; 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB but only one storage variant is available in Nepal which is the 8GB/128GB variant. If the 218GB internal storage isn’t enough for you then don’t worry the phone has a microSDXC dedicated slot to expand the storage.
Battery and Connectivity
Vivo V19 is powered by a Li-Po 4500mAh battery supported by Vivo Flash Charge 2.0 technology which is basically a 33W Fast charging to say. This Flash Charge 2.0 technology can charge this 4500mAh cell from 0-54% in just 30min duration of time. But the problem is, other companies have put battery with more capacity in their budget-midrange segment smartphones. For example, let us take Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 which has a 5020mAh battery with less price tag.
As for connectivity, Vivo 19 has an inclusion of Type-C reversible connector, USB On-The-Go, USB 2.0, In-display Fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, and others. If this phone had 5G, it would make much more sense.
