Nepal’s largest e-commerce platform Daraz has held its annual event Seller Summit 2023. The company marks the event to extend its gratitude to its sellers for their cooperation and commitment.
At the event, top-performing sellers in various categories were rewarded. The lavish ceremony features over 700 sellers, keynote speakers, and industry experts. Daraz said that the event “exemplified how Daraz has revolutionized the e-commerce landscape in Nepal”. Likewise, the eCommerce giant thanked its partners, guests, and attendees who graced the event.
In the program, experts from their respective fields offered their opinions. Madhukumar Marasini (Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies), Aanchal Kunwar, Managing Director of Daraz Nepal, and Shekhar Golchha (FNCCI Chairman) were at the event. Additionally, Deepak Raj Joshi, Ramchandra Tiwari, Pravin Rukshan, Homnath Bhattarai, Bhesh Bahadur Kunwar, Laxman Humagai, Shankar Singh Dhami, Sudesh Upadhyaya, Govinda Ghimire, and Sunita Kayastha also attended the event as special guests.

Empowering communities through commerce- Daraz MD discusses during the Seller Summit 2023
Daraz Nepal MD Ms. Kunwar addressed the guests. In her speech, she highlighted the company’s achievements last year and shared a vision for the future. She also discussed empowering the community through commercial power. In recent years, Daraz has focused on localized experience and promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Similarly, Secretary Marasini presented his views on the potential of Nepal’s e-commerce industry and its future.
FNCCI President Mr. Golchha shared his views about Nepal’s online marketplace and digital economy. He focused on the advantages and disadvantages of the industry and what the next decade could be for it.
Likewise, Daraz Nepal Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bimal Aryal shared his views on the improvements Daraz has made in the last few years in terms of its operations.
The program consisted of an award ceremony where the top sellers on its online platform were presented with a special trophy and Daraz vouchers worth Rs 10,000.
