Huawei has successfully conducted Mobile Nepal Congress (MNC) 2023 gathering encouraging commendations from all participants.
The MNC23 was hosted parallelly with the Digital Nepal Conclave 2023 (DNC23) with attendees coming from eco-system partners. And at the event, they were able to get familiar with the latest tech and trends. Both events were held at Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu starting on June 23.
At MNC23, Huawei Nepal put on display 5G trends, Huawei Cloud Solutions, Green Data Center, Smart Office Technology, etc. The Chinese tech giant also exhibited the concept of a smart city, smart grid campus, etc.
The two-day event featured Nepal’s PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma. Likewise, CEOs and leaders of tech companies visited Huawei MNC (so called Huawei’s Nepal vesion of Mobile World Congress) of and praised the solutions and efforts of Huawei to enable digital Nepal.
Altogether, 70 resource persons delivered their presentations in 15 sessions on six different themes. Subject matter experts from South Korea, Singapore, India, and Bangladesh participated in the DNC23.
The six different sessions took place under three different themes on the second day of the conclave. In the second panel discussion “Building Foundational Tech Stack and Digital Capability,” Xu Su, Chief Marketing Officer, Huawei Asia Pacific Region, presented his keynote on International Experience on 5G and IoT for enhancing the digital capability of Nepal.

All the attention to 5G
Huawei’s MNC 2023 was more focused on 5G network whose recent trend is exorbitantly inspiring. Likewise, they had showcased their latest antenna (SDIF) technology to augment the 5G boost. As compared to 4G, 5G launch was shown to be 1.9X times faster, with 7X times faster adoption. Similarly, as shown, 5G acceleration gave a boost to the telco’s earning in terms of ARPU (10% increment) due to larger volume usage.
Further Huawei emphasized the personal use of 5G for much innovative services like New calling, Video Ringback tone, 5G message, 3D video and more. In addition to Consumer, 5G is equally useful for business, industries in the name of 5GtoB, for home broadband and more.

Jim Huang, CEO of Huawei Nepal, gave his closing remarks at the event. He said, “Digital Transformation has become the main engine for economic growth. So, Going Digital is Clearly the right choice. Huawei is glad to be one of the enablers of digital Nepal. And we are glad to bring new solutions and ideas to the industry through Huawei Mobile Nepal Congress. In these two days’ events, we have seen massive interest from the people who joined Digital Nepal Conclave and Mobile Nepal Congress. The understanding that industry has got will be very beneficial for the growth of Nepal.”
The MNC 2023 exhibited the latest global innovations and solutions and stirred discussions on their relevance and their prospects for business viability in the country to accelerate the journey toward Digital Nepal.
Likewise, Huawei set GUIDE standing for Gigaverse initiative, Ultra-automation speed up, Intelligent computing and network as a service, Differentiated expectation on demand, and Environmental, social, and governance — as the theme for the MNC 2023.
