The annual Consumer Electronics Show, CES 2023, has started in Las Vegas with many renowned firms showcasing their latest tech and innovations at the most “influential tech event in the world.” Samsung, Asus, Sony, Qualcomm, and others have all announced their latest flagship innovations which will roll out commercially in the near future.
So far, Samsung, Nvidia, Dell, Asus, and co have unveiled their latest and best from their roofs. Exceptional TVs, gaming joysticks, cars, and smartphone designs so far dazzled the spectators.
Like every year, major tech firms have presented their best technologies at the event bringing them to wide attention prior to their release later.

Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon Satellite
Qualcomm has unveiled its satellite solution – Snapdragon Satellite which is the “world’s first satellite-based two-way capable messaging solution” for smartphones and other electronic gadgets. The solution is designed to support 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and will launch on devices running Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the second half of 2023.
Sony’s first car is coming in 2026
South Korean company Sony made the announcement that it is making cars. As per the tech giant, its electric vehicles will be ready to ply the roads in 2026.
The company is collaborating with Honda on its EV project which it calls AFEELA. In a demo, the AFEELA car acquainted onlookers with some of its features. It can interact and share information with people outside the vehicle like weather and its charge condition.

Samsung brings Flex Hybrid concept
At CES, Samsung unveiled its striking Flex Hybrid concept. The demo showed the prototype’s left-side folding. The right side of the device can also slide out to extend bearing some resemblance to the Galaxy Fold.
The product comes from Samsung Display and it promises to bring to CES “innovative OLED products of all sizes, small, medium and large, to provide a glimpse into the future of displays.”

Samsung introduces interoperable SmartThings Station
At the same event at CES 2023, Samsung introduced its SmartThings Station which is interoperable and allows multiple devices to connect. The SmartThings Station allows users to set routines for their bedtime, watch TV, turn on gaming mode on TV, and also locate their devices. Find all in detail here.
laptops with glasses-free 3D
Asus, meanwhile, was another show steal with a tantalizing exhibition of a laptop with glasses-free 3D. What was most striking was that it could render images as if they were jumping out of the screen. The demo showed a fine and crisper 3D rendering capacity of the screen which could be a hot pick for creative minds. It uses eye-tracking for the 3D experience. The company wants to contest Acer’s similar design with its 3D screens.
LG brings a hidden touchpad
Another South Korean tech leader LG showcased its Gram Style laptop which boasts a hidden touchpad that only appears if its palm rest is touched. The touchpad lights up under the user’s fingertips to show where to tap and drag to navigate through the screen.
A ‘revolutionary’ gaming controller!
Similarly, Dell unveiled its Concept Nyx gaming controller with an added number of hidden inputs to heighten gaming efficiency. It could bridge the gap between a gamepad and traditional keyboard gamers use. Just like PC gamers are able to use more hotkeys, the controller comes with more command possibilities for gamers.
Intel 13-generation processors for gadgets
Sleek and thin laptops are nice but they are nicer when they come with better processors. Not to be surprised, Intel unveiled its new 13th-generation processor which is capable enough to power a host of products with improved performance on laptops.
The latest Intel CPUs bring unison, allowing iPhone and Android devices to exchange texts from PCs. Likewise, the Thunderbolt 4, brings the ability to run two 4K external displays. The new-generation processor will power new electronics in 2024.

Cloud gaming comes to the car
Bringing improvements to Nvidia’s GeForce, allowing to stream games on laptops, phones, and more. Also, Nvidia GeForce 4080 GPU is coming to the cloud. Now, the subscribers of the premium tier of GeForce, ‘GeForce Now Ultimate,’ can now stream games at 240Hz, and enjoy ray tracing, and DLSS 3 for higher gaming efficiency.
