Samsung Electronics unveiled SmartThings Station at CES 2023. The smart home system comes with simple control and interoperability to connect various devices among many exciting features.

The SmartThings Station is easy to use, affordable and comes with a fast-charging pad.
The gadget allows the connection of multiple devices thanks to its interoperability. It is user-friendly too with quick setup and compatibility with a range of smart home products, including ‘Matter’ devices.
The SmartThings Station enables users to automate a number of their home environments and set routines helping them with their day-to-day activities and reducing their energy waste by making it easy to turn off the lights.

Easy to set up
The SmartThings Station is easy to configure. Right after powering the device, messages will show up on users’ Galaxy smartphones to connect and learn its use.
Upon powering the device for the first time, messages tell users what to do with the connection process on the smartphone.

Adaptive to daily routines
The SmartThings Station allows for several types of devices to connect. Thermostats, lightning and power outlets connect with other devices which connect to the smart home server. Besides, users can all work together and can provide an enhanced connected environment.
SmartThings Station can be easily set up to automate routines that are created via the SmartThings mobile app without requiring users to control individual devices manually.
Set routines for bedtime, watching TV, gaming mode, etc.
The Smart Button on the SmartThings Station can activate a routine created on the SmartThings app. Users can set a routine for bed, and also start a routine for sleep that turns off the lights, shuts the blinds, and dim the lights.
If a routine is set for a movie, the TV could turn on at the set time and dim the lights. Users can also turn off power outlets and other unused appliances to save energy and activate a security system. In addition, users can set a gaming routine that activates specific TV and lighting settings and switch on the ‘Do not Disturb’ mode.
The SmartThings Station allows starting up to three routines by pressing the Smart Button with a short press, long press, or double press. The SmartThings App can also trigger routines remotely.

Samsung SmartThings Station will help find devices more easily
SmartThings Station is integrated with SmartThings Find so it helps users find their devices easily. If you ever get into trouble with the location of your devices at home, SmartThings Station will be your handy option to retrieve them. In addition, users can locate their connected devices by double-pressing the Smart Button. It sends a ring near the user’s phone making it easier to find.
besides, users can also find tablets, watches, earbuds, keys, or wallets that have Galaxy SmartTag or SmartTag+5 attached.

Comes with a fast-charging support
SmartThings Station’s other key feature is its powerful charging pad with support for up to 15W wireless charging. Users can opt to receive an alert when charging is completed and also begin charging another device.
Availability
SmartThings Station has just been unveiled at CES 2023 so it will take a few months before its commercial rollout. It is expected to launch in early February 2023 in the US.
