DTH/ISP Dish Home has upgraded its internet services to IPv6 technology. Short for Internet Protocol version 6, IPv6 increases global IP addresses while also improving network security for data privacy.
Dish Home Fibernet, the subsidiary of Dish Home upgraded its technology in January 2023 marking the beginning of the new year.
Various internet service providers offer their services in IPv6 technology. Classic Tech, WorldLink, Ncell, and a few others have enabled the next-generation internet protocol for their customers. Dish Home Fiber Net is the latest to join the group.
With IPv6 technology, Dish Home fiber internet users will get upgraded security and better connectivity.

Dish Home brings IPv6 connectivity | What are its benefits?
IP addresses in the trillions
IPv6 allows billions of IP addresses. You might think it is just too much to be so necessary while it could be an argument, there’s no debate that the 4.29 billion IP addresses of IPv4 have already been assigned. So, with the next-generation protocol, there’s 3.4 trillion address space for internet connectivity.
Upgraded security:
One of the perks of IPv6 is it brings security enhancements that curb network breaches. Authenticity and data integrity forms the core of the next-generation IP’s security duties.
Better performance:
IPv6 enhances network performance. It betters peer-to-peer networks. It also improves VoIO, and Quality of Service (QoS). Data traffic is more prioritized and split packets elevate user experience.

Better Network Configuration
Address auto-configuration (address assignment) comes by default in IPv6. A router will send the prefix of the local link in its router advertisements. A host can generate its own IP address by appending its link-layer (MAC) address, converted into Extended Universal Identifier (EUI) 64-bit format, to the 64 bits of the local link
Support for mobile device connectivity:
IPv6 brings more reliability for mobile device support. It can route between networks without losing the connectivity of a mobile device.
Global connectivity:
IPv6 enables devices to connect without Network Address Translate (NAT) gateway. It makes it easier for devices worldwide to receive network-related services.
