Apple has dropped the prices of the iPhone 14 in Nepal. These iPhones were globally unveiled back in September alongside premium Pro models: iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, whose price also got reduced. Retaining the same A15 Bionic chip and design language from iPhone 13, these new iterations are sporting new improved main cameras, emergency SOS via satellite, and lightly upgraded GPU. In this article, let’s know more about specs, features, and iPhone 14 and iPhone Plus price in Nepal along with the details on the availability for order.
Design and Display
Commencing off with the design, both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus borrow the same design language as iPhone 13 series. So, both phones are here with the same notch. The company calls it a durable and sleek aerospace-grade aluminum design in five beautiful finishes. There is also an updated internal thermal design for better heat dissipation. The US models do not feature a physical SIM tray and rely on eSIM whereas other regions will get a physical SIM tray model. As far as the button placement, there are volume rockers and an alert slider on the left side while the power key rests on the right side. Also, there is an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance on both models.
On the front side, iPhone boasts Apple’s classic 6.1-inch Retina XDR display with OLED technology. Meanwhile, iPhone 14 Plus brags a bigger 6.7-inch OLED Retina XDR display. There is no higher refresh rate and stays static at 60Hz only. Although the size difference, both displays have the same peak HDR brightness of 1200 nits, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and Dolby Vision support. And the display is protected by the durable Ceramic Shield front cover. The company claims it to be tougher than other smartphone glass.

Performance
Both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are rocking the same A15 Bionic chip from last year. The 5nm-based silicon is still powerful and can still stand in the competition. So, it has the configuration of Hexa-core (2×3.23 GHz Avalanche + 4×1.82 GHz Blizzard). However, these new models are having an upgraded 5-core GPU from iPhone 13 Pro series for better gaming performance.
Despite having an older chip, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have two great features;
- Emergency SOS via Satellite Connection:- The new iPhones are also coming with groundbreaking tech like satellite connection. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus users can send an emergency message to authorities from a place having no cellular or internet connection. This comes as a life-saving measure when one is stranded, lost, or in an emergency scenario. Apple says it would only take 15 seconds to send an SOS message on a clear sky day. This feature is free for the first two years on both models.
- Crash Detection Feature:- There is another life-saving feature on these new iPhones. Apple has implemented a car crash detection feature. If there is a such misfortunate event, it automatically dials emergency services when a person is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone. This feature will use the inbuilt barometer, GPS, and microphone for quick action.
