Realme 240W Fast Charging tech has been unveiled by the company. Taking to the next level of fast charging, the Chinese tech giant is introducing the tech with Realme GT Neo 5. The flagship phone is set to launch in the coming month of February. Let’s learn more about Realme 240W fast charging in this article today.
Realme 240W Fast Charging
With the whopping 240W power, this becomes the fastest mobile phone charger up to now. The new 240W charging from Realme relies on a three-way 100W pump design. And its new fast charging solution claims that it features a safe, low-voltage charging solution supported with a 98.5 percent conversion rate. Talking of the output of this charger, it has a rating of 10V 24A and 20V 12A input.
The company has managed to do so with dual GaN technology. Here, the 240W dual Gallium Nitride (GaN) adapter gives it a peak power density of 2.34W / CC, which is the highest in the market. GaN stands for Gallium Nitride which provides compact sizes and better heat dissipation for fast chargers. In simple words, GaN technology assists in providing super-fast power with safety at the same time. The charging tech is said to be safe at 85 degrees temperature and 85% high humidity.

Port and Cable
There is a single USB-C port on the charger. If compared, it is only 5% bigger than the previous gen 150W fast charger. Likewise, to handle the enormous power, Realme has provided a 12A USB-C cable. Here again, the 21AWG thickened copper wires have the highest rating in the industry. This cable caters to a 20% boost over its predecessor.
Other Features
This blazing-fast charger also supports 65W PD charging. PD stands for Power Delivery which basically enables your device to take on more power in a shorter amount of time. Although widely used for smartphones, a PD charger can fast charge a laptop as well. It requires USB Type-C ports at both ends to function. Apart from that, Realme 240W fast charging will also support QC and VOOC protocols.
The 240W charger comes with a PS3 fire-proof design, 13 temperature sensors, and the largest 6580mm² graphene phase heat dissipation material. Realme claims its smartphone will retain at least 80 percent of its original charge after 1,600 charging cycles. This is the same number of cycles Realme promised on its 150W-supporting Realme GT Neo 3.
