Redmi has finally taken the curtain off the Redmi K60 Pro in an online launch event. The flagship Redmi smartphone is the first one in the Redmi lineup to feature a 2K display. Design and Display
Let’s begin with the design first. The flagship Redmi phone has retained the glass sandwich design language here. The front gets Gorilla Glass victus protection. The camera module on the back is rectangular, housing triple cameras. Talking of thickness, the phone is 8.9mm thick while it weighs 201 grams.
Coming to the display, Redmi K60 Pro houses a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Likewise, it has a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The 2K display has a 12-bit color depth and supports 68.7 billion colors and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Further, it gets HDR10+, HDR vivid, and Dolby Vision certification. For sunlight readability, the smartphone supports 1400 nits peak brightness. Other features of the display include 1920Hz PWM Dimming and 360° light sensors. For biometrics, there is an in-display optical fingerprint scanner with heartbeat detection.

Performance
Under the hood, Redmi K60 Pro gets the power of the latest and greatest, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This TSMC-made 4nm silicon is a powerhouse in both CPU and GPU aspects. Talking of the configurations, it is an octa-core chipset with 1×3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 & 3×2.0 GHz Cortex-A510 cores. For hardware-level ray tracing gaming, the chips also consist of an Adreno 740 GPU. The chip is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
On the software side, the phone boots on the latest MIUI 14 ROM built on top of Android 13. The company has also implemented the FEAS 2.2 system. It improves the gaming experience through dynamic frame stabilization and enhanced visuals. In the meantime, it also maintains power efficiency.
Camera
In the optical department, there is a triple camera layout. The primary camera is a 50MP Sony IMX 800 sensor that is also used in Xiaomi 13. It has an f/1.9 aperture and supports both OIS and EIS for stabilization. For videos, the lens is capable of capturing up to 8K at 24fps videos. Meanwhile, there is an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone gets a 16MP front camera. It can capture 1080p videos at 30/60fps.

For juice and power, Redmi K60 Pro sports a 5000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. It also becomes the first Redmi phone to have wireless charging support. Likewise, it gets a Surge G1 charging protection chip with support for 30W wireless charging. And the connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, A2DP, LE, NFC, IR Blaster, and USB-C port.
