Rakuten Viber has announced its cooperation with various bodies of the government of Nepal to promote public communication channels allowing them to get vital government updates and information. The leading player in calling and messaging applications has invited all government agencies to launch Viber channels to facilitate public communication services.
With this collaboration, Viber seeks to provide Nepali citizens with information and official notices from the government. Additionally, the company wants to engage in interactive campaigns to enhance community participation.

Viber to disseminate government updates and information with dedicated Viber channels
To deliver on this initiative, Rakuten Viber is introducing an array of dedicated channels. These channels will offer the public with essential government information and notices. Further, these channels will essentially act as a hub for the public to stay updated with all government policies, community events, and programs.
Additionally, Rakuten Viber has ratified a partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) to launch a “Swastha Suchana” campaign. This Swastha Suchana initiative gives the general public access to accurate and timely health-related content, including official guidelines, and health and campaign updates. The public will also have access to other critical information directly from reliable sources.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are pleased to join forces with Rakuten Viber to amplify our outreach efforts in delivering health-related content to the public.”
