Vivo V50 Overview
Design and Display
vivo V50 has an equal-depth quad curved screen design that offers infinity viewing experience. It features a rounded middle frame with 41 degree curvature design. So, the phone is good to hold and continue using for a long duration. On the back, it has a circular camera design that raises off the surface. But the whole camera system is part of a vertical strip. The phone’s rounded corners give it a classic look and better practicality for daily use. The back of the phone is a plastic composite sheet for black color and glass for the blue color variant.

The phone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 20 Hz refresh rate. But the stunning part is the 4500 nits of peak brightness. So, the phone sits on par with the likes of OnePlus 13R and others in terms of screen brightness. Likewise, the display has 1080 x 2392 pixels resolution to render sharp and vivid visuals. For protection, the screen has a layer of Diamond Shield Glass on top. The phone is certified with IP68 and IP69 rating for protection from water, dust, scratches, etc.
Performance and Storage
Vivo V50 is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. It has eight cores with up to 2.63 GHz speed. The phone pairs up with Adreno 720 GPU to handle gaming and graphics. The powerful chipset and GPU provide up to 15% and 50% better performance. It runs on Funtouch OS 15 which is based on Android 15.
Likewise, you get a brilliant 12 GB of RAM which you can extend to 24 GB with 12 GB of virtual RAM. Vivo launches the phone with 256 GB of storage for the Nepali market so that does a decent job of storing many photos and videos.
Camera and Photography
Vivo V50 is powered by a ZEISS camera system that ensures that you get clarity and details in each of your photos. The phone has a 50 MP main back camera with an OIS feature to take stable shots. The main camera comes with a 1/1.55” super-sensitive large sensor that captures sharp and vibrant images even in low-light conditions. Likewise, there’s a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a 119-degree field of view which is ideal for taking stunning landscapes and group shots.

On the front, the phone features an equally powerful 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with a 92° autofocus wide-angle lens which delivers high-quality self-portraits. The photography is further enhanced with AI features. For e.g., the AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0 improves skin textures with 143x ultra-soft fill light.
At the same time, ZEISS Multifocal Portrait allows you to frame shots at 23mm, 35mm, or 50mm focal lengths which help create pro-level photos. In addition, you can take 4K videos from all three cameras. You can use AI Erase 2.0, Live Cutout, Film Camera Mode, and Live Photo to be creative with these optics.
Battery and Charging
The phone comes with a huge 6,000mAh BleVolt battery that should give one day of use even on heavy usage. This is further enhanced with a 90W fast-charging capacity for time-saving. Vivo claims that a quick 10-minute charge can allow 6 hours of talk time or 3 hours of video streaming.
Connectivity and other features
Vivo V50 connects to 5G and dual-band WiFi. For wireless connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity too. For security, the phone has an intuitive in-display optical fingerprint sensor. The ZEISS optics need no elaboration and there are many AI features that increase both photos and creativity. But the phone’s other features are decent too.
