Vivo Y04 is an entry-level Android phone recently launched in Nepal with a focus on a large battery and a big display. It’s a new member in vivo’s wide list of “y” series of smartphones. And going by price, it will compete in the sub-15,000 price range. Here, we have all the details of vivo Y04, including key features, key specifications, and its official price in Nepal.
vivo Y04 Overview
Design and Display
vivo Y04 sports a sleek and sturdy design. The phone is largely minimalistic, so there are fewer graphics to see, except the vivo logo on the back. It ships in two colors- Jade Green and Titanium gold, with the former being sleeker while the latter is a bit more shimmery. Likewise, two cameras on the back are housed in pill shapes and a large LED flash. For protection from water and dust, it has an IP64 certification. The phone weighs 199 grams.

The display is one of the talking points on this budget phone. It’s got a huge 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate, which is decent and workable. Vivo has equipped this phone with up to 570 nits of peak brightness.
Camera and photography
Vivo offers the phone with two cameras on the back. Its main lead camera is a 13 MP wide camera with a f/2.2 aperture, which is accompanied by a 0.08 MP auxiliary lens. Similarly, the front has a 5 MP selfie camera with the same-capacity f/2.2 aperture.
The cameras are equipped with AI features such as AI Erasure, AI Photo Enhance, and AI Documents to improve the photography experience.
Given its price, the cameras don’t come with premium features such as OIS, optical zooming, etc. But with AI and decent cameras, you should still produce decent shots in bright settings.

Our verdict
Vivo Y04 is a budget Android phone, and you should expect standard features. But what stands out is its large battery, sleek design, and big display. Plus, it’s got an HD+ screen resolution, so I think that is a plus point for its battery longevity. Budget phones have made long strides, and this phone is a vivid proof of it.

If you don’t want highly advanced photography as in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or iPhone 16 Pro Max, or other flagship phones, and prefer a low budget with a large battery and display, this phone, along with other best phones under 15,000, is your option.
