Taking off with the design of the smartphone, it comes with a similar design as that of other Y-series smartphones. It has a glass front, a plastic frame, and a plastic back. The Vivo Y16 flexes a large 6.51 inches HD+ IPS LCD display panel along with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It is an octa-core processor based on a 13 nm processing technology that clocks a maximum of up to 2.3 GHz high frequency. Coming to the graphics of the smartphone, it is handled by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. 

In terms of memory configuration, it is paired with 4GB of RAM and offers 64GB of internal storage onboard. You can expand your storage via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It also has extended RAM 2.0. Whereas on the software front, the smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 12, which is based on Android 12 OS. It has a Multi-Turbo 5.5 that can focus on optimizing core scenes to reduce stuttering and lag in games.

Now, diving into the optics of the Vivo Y16, the phone flaunts a dual camera setup at the rear. It consists of a 13 MP main camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2 MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

Whereas on the front, it houses a 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture for capturing beautiful pictures & videos. On the videography aspect, the rear cameras record videos at 1080p@30fps. While the front Camera is capable of recording videos at 720p@30fps.
