Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G Officially Launched with 120Hz display, 108MP camera, SD 750G and More.

Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G. It is the latest addition to the Mi 10 series. The smartphone arrives with impressive specs and features such as 120Hz display, 108MP camera, SnapDragon 750G, etc. It is launched in India as the exclusive device for the country but it is also expected to arrive in Nepal. Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G Overview

Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G was expected to be the successor of Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. But more so, the smartphone is the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, which was launched a few months back in China. The smartphone boasts 120Hz Display, SD 750G, 108MP Camera and many more features. 

Design/Display

Starting off with the design of the smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G is identical to the Mi 10T lineup. The smartphone has a premium build with glass front and the glass back. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on both rear and front panels. It houses a selfie camera at the front. 

Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G features a 6.67 inches IPS LCD panel with FHD+ screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The device boasts an aspect ratio of 20:9, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 450nits brightness, HDR10, and display has TÜV Rheinland low Blu-ray certification. It features an Intelligent 120Hz AdaptiveSync display with refresh rate fluctuations from 30Hz to 120Hz that automatically changes as per content. It also comes with a IP53 Water-repellent coating.

108 MP Camera

The optical department is the highlighting feature of the smartphone. Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G is the cheapest smartphone to house a 108 MP camera. The smartphone sports a quad rear camera setup with a circular camera module. It consists of a 108 MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera along with f/2.2 aperture & FOV of 120-degree, a 2 MP macro sensor, and a 2 MP depth sensor. It comes equipped with a 16 MP in-display Selfie camera at the front.

On the videography front, The rear cameras of the device can record videos up to 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps, and 720p@30fps. On the front it records videos up to 1080p@30fps, and 720p@120fps. It also uses 9-in-1 pixel binning technology, to make every snap picture-perfect.

Under the hood, Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G is equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G Processor which was first used in Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. It is an octa-core processor based on an 8nm manufacturing process. It is coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage option. You can also expand your storage up to 512GB via a dedicated microsd card slot if there’s need for it. 

At the software front, the Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G runs on MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS. It also has a built-in 11 temperature sensor for modulating on-device temperature and a three-dimensional liquid cooling system to regulate internal temperature. So, you can play high-end games in the smartphone without worrying about lag and excess heating.

Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G comes with a huge battery prowess of 4,820mAh (typ) ultra-high capacity battery along with the support of standard 33W flash charge. The brand claims that it only takes 58 minutes to fully charge from zero percent. 

Talking about the connectivity options, it features 4G/5G network, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, dual-frequency GPS, USB Type-C, IR blaster, NFC, Hi-Res Audio support, stereo speakers, a linear motor for in-game vibrations, Widevine L1 support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone.

Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G Availability And Price In Nepal

Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G is launched in three different variants in India. The starting price of the smartphone for the base variant is INR. 20,999. It will go on sale from the 8th of January 2021 in India. It will be available in three different colour variants like Pacific Sunrise, Midnight Black, and Atlantic Blue. The smartphone is expected to launch very soon in Nepal. The expected price of the base variant of Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G in Nepal is around Rs. 34,999. It will be competing with other premium mid-range smartphones in the market.
