Nepal Telecom has now made the 4G service available in 77 districts. You can now find a 4G network in most of the areas. Similarly, you can activate 4G service in Ntc for your prepaid and postpaid SIM card. Here is how to enable 4G service in Ntc and use the first 4G activation offer.
Now that the Ntc 4G coverage is available in more areas, Ntc is promoting the use of 4G by giving a 4G activation offer. NTC 4G subscribers now get a promotional offer of 1GB free data packages with 4G service activation for the first time. Among which 500 MB is for all networks and 500 MB is for 4G network.

Requirement for enabling 4G in Ntc
To use the 4G activation offer, you need to have a 4G compatible handset and universal SIM (USIM). Please check LTE 1800 MHz and 800 MHz compatibility in your handset. Find how to check 4G band support on your phone?
The access point to use Ntc 4G is the same as that for using 2G and 3G. For new users, you need to add APN with “ntnet” in the access point names. You can also read details at Ntc internet settings.
How to activate 4G in Ntc?
To enable 4G in Ntc, you need to
- Dial *444# and press 1 to activate or directly dial *444*1#. The promotional offer of free data pack will also be available after the subscription. If your SIM is not compatible, you will be notified of the SIM card change required for 4G use.
We have been getting queries regarding the process to activate 4G in old SIM. But as per the technology limitation, you cannot change your old SIM from 3G to 4G technology. So, you need to change your old SIM card to enable 4G service in your NTC SIM.

What is the tariff of Ntc 4G?
After the completion of free data, the tariff without any data package is Rs 1 per MB (without taxes). All the available data packages in 2G and 3G are also available with 4G. Now as people these days consume more data, you should connect 4G in your Ntc Sim for more affordable data.
Nepal Telecom has around 22 million subscribers in the GSM family, which is inclusive of 2G, 3G, and 4G subscribers. It is known that there are around 15 million Ntc customers who had subscribed to 4G in their SIM. The number is known to surge high as 4G is now ubiquitous and most of the smartphones in Nepal are 4G compatible.
