Apple was forced to come up with bigger screen phones as their counterparts like Samsung and other Android manufacturers were already taking the market by storm with the size. In an effort to make the iPhone full-screen, Apple introduced iPhone X with a “notch” at the top of the screen to make a place for sensors and front-facing cameras. Within 5-7 months, the design has gotten much popular. Almost all the Chinese manufacturers are now implementing the notch design in their latest smartphones.
To this date, there are a promising number of Chinese smartphones that mirror iPhone X. We sometimes get confused about whether the phone is iPhone X or some other Android smartphone. Here in this article, we have listed some of the Android smartphones with the notch to achieve full-screen display.
Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror
Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition feature a large 6.28 inch full-HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. The dual nano-SIM phones come with the aspect ratio of 19:9 which runs on top of Android’s latest operating system, Android Oreo. Oppo has used their own Color OS 5.0 launcher on the phones.

The entire Huawei P20 series features an iPhone X-like notch display in the front. The notch houses the front-facing camera and earpiece, and some other sensors. Huawei P20 series rocks a similar camera setup on the back, but the P20 Pro comes with the third lens, making it the first in the world to feature a triple -lens camera on the back.

The Vivo V9 runs on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. To power the phone, Vivo has added Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor which is an average performer in the segment. The company has added an Artificial Intelligence-based Face Beautify app on the phone for selfie and video call beautification. AR stickers which are getting popular these days are also included in the phone along with portrait lightning in the camera. V9 also comes with face unlock feature similar to that of flagships like Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X.

VIVO X21
VIVO X21 has a design language that embraces the notch, similar to iPhone X. X21 features a large full display screen of 6.28-inch with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The phone comes with an unusual aspect ratio of 19:9. Vivo tires to follow narrow bezel display trend with the phone by limiting bezel to ultra-narrow size around the display. The display covers most of the front part of the phone due to the narrow bezel.

OnePlus 6 (Not Yet Unveiled)
It is sure that the OnePlus 6 will have a notch at the top of its all-screen display which mimics iPhone X. All the leaked images show a device with a notch.
The physical button on the left side of the phone has until now been for adjusting the volume or activating the Do Not Disturb mode, but with the OnePlus 6, it could allow users to adjust the focus when using the camera.
LG G7(Not Yet Unveiled)
LG G7 is coming with a display that has a notch on it. The video of the handset was leaked at the MWC 2018. The notch on the phone will be similar to that of the iPhone X which houses the earpiece and some other sensors.
The notch in the middle can be hanged down from the middle as like the iPhone X, or it can be either hidden by adding more bezel on either side of the notch like the Galaxy S9. It can be done according to the choice of the user. The change can be made from the settings menu of the phone.
The Verdict
The popularity of phones with full display and notch is increasing. The phones listed above show how the big brands are adopting the notch style display. Other big companies like Samsung, HTC are not following the trend which makes clear the future of display trend does not end at notch like display. Although the trend for the popularity of full screen and notch is going up, there are still many people who do not prefer it.
