Nepal Telecom (Ntc)’s high-speed fiber internet service is now available in the remotely lying Rajpur Rural Municipality, Dang. The broadband multi-purpose service backed by fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) technology now brings to the residents high-speed fiber internet, IPTV, and voice services at affordable cost.
The service was inaugurated online by Rekha Sharma, the minister of Communication, Information, and Technology (MoCIT). She brought into operation the advanced and multi-purpose FFTH service by establishing a call with Rajpur Rural Municipality Chairman Sharadkumar Budhathoki. While speaking at the memorable event, she congratulated the people of Rajpur for finally having access to modern fiber-based services.
Ntc has made it a top priority to launch, expand, and upgrade FTTH services across the country. As of now (Falgun, 2080), the company has made its fiber internet service NT Fiber available in 74 districts. Unlike private internet service providers (ISPs), Ntc has a range of fiber internet packages at relatively low costs. As per the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), Ntc boasts over 2.65 lakh fiber internet users.

Nepal Telecom launches fiber internet in Rajpur, Dang, and plans for more expansion
Minister Sharma shared that Ntc FTTH service is also available in Banglachuli Rural Municipality, Dang. According to her, Gadhwa which lies across Rapti Rural Municipality will also soon get the popular internet service. The minister is the elected representative from Dang, Deukhuri, 2, her Constituency Area.
Similarly, Ntc will expand its FTTH fiber services in six local levels in Dang. According to Minister Sharma, the company will soon launch its internet service in three rural municipalities, namely- Shantinagar, Babai, and Dangashiran.

In the meantime, Nepal Telecom Tulsipur chief Santosh Sharma said that the FTTH service is extended in Rajpur, Dang by extending 15 kilometers of optical fiber from Rihar, East-West Highway. He said that currently, the service can provide 512 phone connections, internet, and IPTV services.
The expansion of Ntc FTTH service in Rajpur continues the company’s objective of accelerating its modern broadband services across Nepal. The locals there will now be able to enjoy high-speed fiber internet, NT TV, and voice services through a single cable. Ntc calls this combo a Triple Play service. For the internet, customers in Rajpur will be able to subscribe to packages from 50 Mbps to 200 Mbps.
