Ncell and Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have reached an partnership agreement just ahead of the Nepal Premiere League (NPL) T20 cricket league. The cooperation will see Ncell enhance the ante of highly-anticipated T20 tournament and contribute to develop home-grown talents. For this inaugural NPL cricket, Ncell has entered into the agreement with CAN as the “Powered by” sponsor.
The agreement between the private telco and CAN was reached by Jabbor Kayumov, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ncell, and Paras Khadka, Secretary of CAN, respectively, at a recent meeting. This partnership adheres to Ncell‘s norm of ‘Here for You’ and seeks to promote the growth of Nepali cricket.
NPL is already creating buzz for a lot of good reasons. First, it’s Nepal’s first-ever IPL-like T20 league. Then, it’s consists of 8 franchise teams with many international players in them. The partnership is for more than just the sport
But it is also about connectivity than just the sporting event. Jabbor said, “Following the resounding achievement of the U-19 women’s cricket team qualifying for the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup for the first time, we are elated to announce this partnership with CAN for Nepal premier League powered by Ncell, which aims to provide Nepal’s cricketers with excellent exposure and a platform to showcase their immense talent.”

Ncell to live screen NPL matches
Ncell is also enabling on-the-go viewing of NPL matches through live screening. It will also conduct on-ground activations and provide offers for the customers during the runtime of the competition that runs through November 30 till December 21. There will be a total of 32 NPL matches all taking place at the TU cricket ground in a round-robin format.

For the sports
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Ncell has contributed profoundly for the sports development in Nepal. Besides cricket, it’s significantly played roles to uplift the development and morale of football, volleyball, golf, and para-athletes in various national and international events.
