Ncell has become the main sponsor of the NPL team Lumbini Lions. The partnership was announced on Sunday, December 01, 2024, in the presence of the acting great and the club’s brand ambassador Rajesh Hamal, the team’s captain Rohit Paudel, British cricketer Tom Murse, and other international players.
The agreement papers were signed by Ncell Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) Jabbor Kayumov and Lumbini Lions chairman Ishwar GC. During the program, the club also unveiled its official jersey for the NPL 2024 season. Ncell also tied up as NPL’s powered-by partner and offers special NPL Fan packs for users. The telco expects that its collaboration with Lumbini Lions add more energy and excitement to the club’s ongoing tournament.

Ncell, Lumbini Lions partnership will also strengthen Nepali cricket
At the program, the Lumbini Lions’ chair spoke profoundly on the Ncell partnership. He said, “We are extremely grateful to be associated with an international level and Nepal’s leading private telecom service provider Ncell as the main sponsor. We are confident that this collaboration will significantly contribute to the development of Nepali cricket.” He added that the support from Ncell will further strengthen the team and also take Nepali cricket to new heights.
Similarly, Ncell CEO and MD Kayumov expressed similar enthusiasm and stressed the telco’s commitment to the sport. He stated, “We are always firm on contributing to the development of Nepali cricket and young talent and this collaboration is a shining example of that. We believe that this partnership will further strengthen our commitment based on our theme of ‘We are for you’. He said that the company will continue collaborating and contributing to the sports, its development, youth empowerment, and social cohesion.
Besides this collaboration with Lumbini Lions, the Ncell Foundation has also initiated a CSR program where it would distribute 4 educational kits to students from community schools for every 4 hit in the NPL.
