In this article today, we also look at all the rumors and discussions that have surrounded the Nothing Phone 3 and its possible price in Nepal. Keep reading.
What can we expect with Nothing Phone 3?
Judging by Nothing Technology Ltd. founder/CEO Carl Pei, Nothing Phone 3 is coming with improved features, AI, a better camera, and of course, the hardware (CPU). The phone succeeds Nothing Phone 2 and is likely to draw fans for its design, possible new features in the glyph interface, and so forth.
Did you know? CG has partnered with Nothing Technology to bring the latter’s products in Nepal.
Nothing Phone 3 Specification rumors: Everything we know so far
Nothing Phone 3 will continue the unique design tradition of Nothing phones. Backed especially by the LED-inspired Glyph interface, the new iteration shall be another distinct phone with quirky design language. CMF Phone 1 by Nothing showed further versatility in Carl Pei’s mind and there’s a possibility that Nothing Phone 3 might inherit some of them such as back panel customizability.
More so, Nothing might find it necessary to up its next phone’s battery power too. The Android smartphone competition is quite pressing with Samsung, Xiaomi, realme, etc. gunning with affordable feature-rich phones. Nothing has already made its name in the global market but it will still need to carry and continue the momentum it has attained so far. Let’s get into specific aspects of the next prospective Nothing Phone 3.
Design and Display
It goes without saying that Nothing’s unique selling point lies in the glyph interface. The semi-transparent design likewise, makes it a glamorous and futuristic device, a thing of curiosity and distinction. The Nothing Phone 3 will certainly perpetuate this popular tradition.
The Nothing Phone 2a featured a rather toned-down glyph interface but Nothing Phone 3 is going to be a flagship offering so it will likely have a full-fledged LED light and offer functionalities than ever before.
If you are less aware, the Glyph interface works as a torch and helps remind notifications for apps, incoming calls, etc. It also serves various other functions by working with other third-party apps that are optimized for the glyph interface. The IP68 certification for water and dust and Gorilla Glass for screen protection would also be on their way to the phone.
But there is one possible change shared by Carl Pei that the Nothing Phone 3 could debut a new button just below the power button. Let’s not also rule out the CMF Phone 1-like rear panel customization option coming to the phone. It could excitingly shake things up in terms of the phone’s design path.
As for the display, the Nothing Phone 3 might increase the size from the 6.7-inch featured in its predecessor Nothing Phone 2. It will likely get LTPO AMOLED technology. The peak brightness may go above 1600 nits but the 120Hz refresh rate may stay the same which is a standard issue even among the most high-end smartphones such as iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Performance
Nothing has used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets for its first and second major phones. The third iteration shall continue the tradition. However, the brand doesn’t use the latest hardware to make its price factor approachable for buyers. That means, we may not see Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 running under the hood for Nothing Phone 3. Rather, we might see a Gen 2 processor which is still not bad for a smartphone despite being a couple of years old.
However, 91Mobiles has reported that the phone might come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. If turned true, it would be a great selling point for the phone but that may up its price too. It shall come with 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage at least, and 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM. At the same time, the phone might come with Android 15-based Nothing OS 3 software.
Camera
The first and second Nothing phones featured dual-camera setups as well as the Nothing Phone (2a). There’s still not much regarding whether the company would bring major change to it. However, given the stiff competition in the sub-high-end Android market, the company may indeed introduce a triple-camera module.
For reference, the Nothing Phone 2 came with a wide 50 MP camera and a 50 MP ultrawide camera with f/1.9 and f/2.2 aperture. The aperture may improve to allow for even better low-light photography including other features. The front is also likely to stick with a 32 MP camera which is decent for a selfie camera.
Phone Arena reports that the Nothing Phone 3 may come with Sony’s latest LYTIA sensor which provides much better control and improved camera performance in day and night photography.
In earnest, Nothing doesn’t seem to focus much on camera specifications to stay competitive with price. So, only time will tell if there will be a remarkable change in path. But we will still see OIS, autofocus, and other AI-backed camera features.

Battery and Connectivity
Nothing Phone 2 featured a 4,700mAh battery with 45W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless fast charging support. That’s not far behind the latest premium offerings from Samsung in Galaxy S24 Ultra and Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in raw specs. But, nothing might increase the battery capacity to at least 5000mAh. Rumors have it that the company could introduce advanced fast-charging technology in Nothing Phone 3 so there’s a credible reason to expect more in this department.
And while the phone would have 5G connectivity, Bluetooth, NFC, etc., satellite communication may not be included in this upcoming phone to stay competitive with the price. But we can fancy this type of wireless connectivity featuring in other future iterations as the technology becomes more mainstream.
AI
Carl Pei has hinted that Nothing Phone 3 could feature Artificial Intelligence features. Though there are few details on the surface, AI is the new big deal in smartphones. Samsung has established Galaxy AI and Apple is beginning Apple Intelligence soon with iOS 18.1. So, Nothing may not want to stay behind much.
Nothing Phone 3 release date and price in Nepal
Car Pei has shared that Nothing Phone 3 will be unveiled in 2025. Although going traditional, the company could have launched the phone in July 2024. According to Pei, the reason for launching the phone in 2025 is that the company seeks to “redefine the user interface to enable a highly personalized and dynamic user experience as AI is integrated at a system level across smartphones.”
With the focus on AI, the company is seeking to establish its proprietary ideas for a better user experience for Nothing smartphone users rather than just pushing the AI features for its own sake.
In terms of price, Nothing Phone 3 may start at around Rs 81,699 for the 12/256 GB variant and Rs 85,299 for the 12/512 GB trim. The inclusion of AI features and better features could contribute to slightly higher costs.
Nothing Phone 3 | Price in Nepal (Expected) |
12/256 GB | Rs 81,699 |
12/512 GB | Rs 85,299 |
Our initial verdict
Nothing Phone 3 will carry a lot of weight for the company in maintaining its growing and exceptionally positive stature in the Android smartphone market. So far, the phone has made remarkable strides despite being a relatively new brand so the next major iteration shall continue to prove its worth with exciting design, stylish software, and improved specifications.
