OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus 8 smartphone in Nepal. OnePlus 8 is the successor of OnePlus 7 that looks like 2019’s OnePlus 7T Pro with a new paint job. Although the price of OnePlus phones has gone much higher these days, OnePlus 8 is targeted for best budget flagship smartphone seekers. Find the detailed specs and price of the Oneplus 8 smartphone in Nepal below.
OnePlus 8
The OnePlus 8 is cheaper than the Pro variant, offering many features but in a smaller, more flexible unit. Last year’s OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro had a lot in common, but this time OnePlus has made a significant distinction between the base and the Pro version, making it easier for consumers to choose. Let’s find the details of OnePlus 8.
Design and Display
OnePlus 8 looks very much identical to the last year’s OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro as it feels familiar in terms of design. The phone has a beautiful looking glass back design with curved glass for stabler grip and comfort when holding it. There is a glossy finish that is more grippy, and the 3D Corning Gorilla Glass does the work of protection. At the front, there is an excellent bezel-less display with a tiny hole punch at the top right corner.
One of the best aspects of OnePlus devices is its display. We have seen great displays from the past, and this time is no exception. The OnePlus 8 packs a 6.55-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and the screen is very tall with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display refreshes at 90Hz with support for HDR10+ and offers excellent color accuracy, just like OnePlus 8 Pro.
Camera
The significant difference between OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 is their camera. This time, OnePlus focused more on the Pro model, offering an intriguing quad-camera system but OnePlus 8 is not that bad. Altogether, OnePlus 8 has three cameras – the same 48-megapixel in its primary camera that the 8 Pro uses in its ultra-wide one. It also has a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, but one of those is just a low-resolution 2-megapixel macro sensor to help it focus on objects close up.
OnePlus 8 does quite well in the video department. It can shoot 4K video at 60fps and slo-mo up to 480fps at the 720p resolution. At 1080p, you can record video at up to 240fps which is a great offering for the device. For the selfies, the phone has a 16MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture with the capability of recording 1080p videos.
Software and Performance
The OnePlus 8 is powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset paired coupled with non-expandable 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The fastest available smartphone chipset available right now in the world is paired with Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G connectivity. The Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 585) is one of the fastest CPU, and for the graphics, OnePlus 8 has Adreno 650 GPU.
OnePlus’s OxygenOS run on this handset to Android 10. The minimal looking OxygenOS is a fan favorite as it has a minimal and sleek design along with Stock Android feel.

Battery and Others
The phone carries a big enough 4,300mAh battery, which can easily last for an in heavy usage and even more than a day with moderate usage. This is a good battery implementation by OnePlus which is above batteries in other flagship phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 that packs 4,000mAh of capacity.
The OnePlus 8 is juiced up by the Warp Charge 30T charger, which was introduced on OnePlus 7T, which delivers 23% faster charging than the charger that came with prior OnePlus 7T phones. With this charger, the phone gets 0-100% just under an hour. OnePlus doesn’t support wireless charging which is now present in OnePlus 8 Pro.
Other features in the device include loud and clear Stereo loudspeakers and features in-display fingerprint reader, which is pretty fast. For connectivity, the phone has support for WiFi 6, 5G support, and NFC. Here, know in detail about the Near Field Communication (NFC).
