Redmi Note 14 5G Overview
Design and display
The Redmi Note 14 5G smartphone comes in a sleek and slender design with a squircle camera bar on the back. The phone uses thin bezels and chin and it’s minimalistic in overall look. The phone weighs 190 grams and has dimensions of 162.4 x 75.7 x 8 mm which makes it only slightly more compact than the 4G variant. Check out: Redmi Note 14 4G Price in Nepal
But it shares the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and has 2100 nits of peak brightness. The fact that the device rocks an 87.4% screen-to-body ratio means the user gets a huge portion of the screen on this phone. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and IP64 certification means it’s got decent protection against water and dust particles from entering into its internal components.
Performance
Xiaomi has used MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset to power this phone. It’s a 6nm fabrication that comes with eight cores where two cores run at 2.5 GHz and six clock up to 2.0 GHz. Another point to note is that in Nepal, the device ships with 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB and 512 GB of native storage which can be expanded with a slot.
The budget beauty boots on HyperOS based on Android 14 and should get up to 3 major Android OS updates. It’s got an under-display fingerprint sensor for security. Both Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro also run on the same operating system.
Camera
The phone features a triple camera setup headed by the main 108 MP shooter and accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera. On the front is a 20 MP massive selfie camera for photos, and videos. The main back camera supports the OIS feature which helps take stable and sharper photos and videos.
Battery and Connectivity
Xiaomi has given the standard 5G model a 5,110mAh battery like others in the series barring the 4G variant. It comes along with a 45W fast charging which is brilliant despite not being as ultra-fast as 120W. Unlike the Pro models in the RN14 series, this one comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. For data, it supports WiFi 5, and 5G. Additionally, there’s Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C 2.0, etc.

Our Verdict
Redmi Note 14 5G is the base model in the RN14 Series which Xiaomi calls the Classic model. It shares some similarities with the Pro models such as the 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 5110mAh battery, etc. despite coming in the lower order. But given the affordability of the device and 5G capability, it’s a solid budget pick for 2025. It’s also emphatically nicer from Xiaomi that 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM is now the pretty established standard among the “upper” budget phones.
