On the positive spectrum, the S23 Ultra camera performs consistently making for a supreme user experience with photography. It’s a familiar trend with Samsung phones. Its hardware and software optimization is perfectly in sync and makes for a highly commendable camera phone.
Similarly, reviewers also endowed the S23 Ultra optics with praise for solid rendering capability, autofocus, and video recording. They also admired its telephoto function.
“In our tests, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra performed well for still imaging, capturing impressively high levels of detail in landscape shots”, DxOMark wrote.
However, even the phone with the bumper 200MP main camera in a quadcore optical setup did not bring in the superlatives for its camera configuration. Reviewers pointed to its few shortcomings including loss of sharpness and shutter lags when shot in low-light conditions. Focus instability and exposure in backlit scenarios also were to blame for the underwhelming reviews.
