Xiaomi 15 Specifications
Design and Display

In terms of design, Xiaomi 15 is not hugely different from its predecessor Xiaomi 14. It’s actually a more compact-looking phone to compare stretching just 152.3mm in height and also slimmer by a small margin. It’s also the phone with the thinnest bezels in the industry measuring just 1.38mm. The back panel, likewise, carries a sleek profile and you may not discern one from the other at a glance.
Further, the frames are made of aviation-grade aluminum with slightly curved edges. A body of just 71.2 mm width provides a much comfortable in-hand feel. At the same time, the iconically beautiful camera island rests on top left on the phone’s back phone just as ever-aesthetically pleasing. It houses a Leica-powered triple-camera optics. Well, Xiaomi 15 also has a Diamond Limited Edition which comes with a “crocodile” skin textured back panel in 3 striking colors- elephant gray, glacier white, and orange. But this one may be very limited in availability.

Xiaomi 15 phone boasts a compact 6.36-inch 1.5K display with 120 Hz refresh rate. It’s an LTPO OLED display with 3200 nits of peak screen brightness which easily makes it one of the brightest screens there. The screen is protected by Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 to make it more immune from scratches. Likewise, the IP68 ingress protection keeps dust and splashes away. No doubt that the Xiaomi 15 is one of the best-looking Xiaomi phones to date.
Performance
Xiaomi 15 comes with Qualcomm’s recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset under the hood. The processor delivers 45% more single and multicore performance over Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Additionally, Xiaomi has given this phone 12 GB and 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM options and will be available with 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB of storage.
The phone ships with HyperOS 2.0 which is the second-generation software of Xiaomi’s custom Android skin. It’s actually one of the first Android phones to come with Android 15-inspired OS. Another key point is that the phone has an advanced Vapor-liquid separation system that promises 3 times better heat management over traditional vapor chamber cooling mechanisms.
Camera

The phone features a 50 MP wide, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP telephoto (with 3x optical zoom) camera all using a Leica Summilux lens. On the front, Xiaomi has used a similar 32 MP selfie camera as in the Xiaomi 14. The back camera can record videos at 8K@24/30fps while the selfie camera can do so at 4k@30/60fps.

Battery and Connectivity
The phone possesses a silicon carbide battery of 5,240mAh capacity. The use of Si/C inside means that the battery gets better energy management and longer battery life. The charging features are similar to the predecessor though. It’s got a 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless (magnetic), and 10W reverse wireless charging support.

On a cellular front, it’s a 5G phone and in fact, will be one of the best 5G phones soon in Nepal. Besides, it has support for WiFi 7, comes with NFC, infrared port, USB Type-C 3.2, GPS, etc. However, it couldn’t get the satellite connectivity which might have to do with its relatively below-price structure compared to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or the iPhone 16 Pro models.
