Xiaomi has finally launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra globally at MWC 2025. The latest model is Xiaomi’s very ambitious lineup and seeks to compete with the best flagships out in the market. It comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a Leica-powered quad-camera with 1 inch image sensor, a 6.73-inch display, 16 GB RAM, etc. So, the camera focused phone will give tough competition to high-end competitors. Design and Display
Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a sleek pinnacle design. Its edges are round, which supports better grip. The phone looks more pronounced than the predecessor Xiaomi 14 Ultra, especially the camera module on the camera bar. The frames are made of aluminum. The phone weighs 226 grams for the black and white color models, while the silver chrome model weighs 229 grams.
Xiaomi uses a Micro Curved display technology for the display on this phone. It rocks a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED screen and a 3.2K (3200 x 1440 pixel) resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The screen has anti-glare mechanism which allows clear view even under direct sunlight. The screen has a layer of Shield Glass 2.0 for protection while or ingress protection, it’s IP68-certified.
Performance and Storage
The phone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It’s a 3 nm silicon and comes with a huge performance boost and energy efficiency over its predecessor. IT features eight cores, with the two prime cores clocking 4.32 GHz. The phone is no doubt snappier on one side but also highly efficient on the battery usage side.
The phone comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. In combination, they ship with 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB, and 16/1 TB specifications. There’s no card slot so, that might compel multimedia users to choose the variant with more storage.
Camera
Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s main camera features 2 a 23mm Leica Summilux optical lens and 1-inch image sensor. It’s got a 50 MP main wide camera with OIS and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capacity. Likewise, there is another 200 MP periscope telephoto and a 50 MP ultrawide camera completing a versatile camera module on the phone’s back. You can take an 8K video from the back camera at 30 fps. On the front, the phone features a 32 MP camera that can take 4K videos at up to 60 fps.
The phone also comes with a camera-inspired photography kit, which features a detachable shutter button and thumb support. Xiaomi says that a Fastshot mode interface offers next-level Leica camera experience.
On the outset, the cameras look similar to what there were on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. But the periscope telephoto is increased from 50 MP to 200 MP. Additionally, Xiaomi has made many software-level improvements to enhance its camera capacity. As a result, you can take better low-light images with more color accuracy and less noise.

Battery and Charging
The handset comes with a 5410mAh battery for the global variants, while it’s available with a 6,000mah cell in China. It’s a silicon carbide (Si/C Li-Ion battery), so it’s very efficient in battery management. The phone supports 90W wired, 80W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra boots on HyperOS 2, Xiaomi’s custom Android skin inspired by Android 15. Xiaomi promises up to 4 major Android OS upgrades on this phone. That keeps it fresh with new security patches for around half a decade.
The phone connects to 5G, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0. It’s got a two-way satellite communication service, which is another top highlight on this phone. For security, it comes with an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor. There are other standard sensors and GPS features too.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Price in Nepal may come at Rs 189,999 in Nepal for the 16GB/512 GB model. Though the phone price starts at ￡1,299 in the UK, which becomes around USD1,571. But it may slightly come cheaper here in Asian Market. The phone comes in black, white, silver chrome color options. According to Xiaomi Nepal, the phone will be launching soon. So, that could be in March itself.

Our Verdict
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a highly ambitious phone from the popular Chinese brand. It’s also one of the top flagship phones (once launches in Nepal) and around the world. The device has focused much on photography and with improved periscope telephoto and other cameras, the phone competes with others like Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max in photography. The phone also competes solidly with vivo X200 Pro. But you may have your opinion on Android software and design. If price is no bar, then this phone is going to prove a great choice for a high-end phone.
