Xiaomi has announced the latest batch of devices that will get the HyperOS operating software in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. Announcing via an X (formerly Twitter) post on March 30, the Chinese tech giant revealed the new smartphones getting the MIUI-replacer OS which now includes popular devices such as the Redmi Note 11 series, Redmi 12, etc, Poco F4, etc.

Xiaomi started rolling out the HyperOS upgrade at the end of 2023. So far, only a handful of high-end and mid-range devices have got the privilege of the new software treatment. But, gradually, more devices are getting the fresh OS migration. Initially, the upgrade was only limited to the devices inside China but it’s opening up for those in the global markets too. Including Xiaomi and Redmi, POCO phones are also getting the HyperOS update.

If you own any eligible Xiaomi/Redmi smartphone in Nepal as per the list (see below), then you will get the HyperOS update for your device somewhere in Q2 2024.

Xiaomi has confirmed that a host of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones will get a HyperOS upgrade in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. The latest list includes Redmi 12, Xiaomi 11, and Redmi Note 11 series devices, etc. To specify, devices such as the Redmi 12, Redmi 13C, Xiaomi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5, etc. will get the HyperOS somewhere in the second quarter of 2024.

That means if you own a Redmi device that’s two years old, then this latest update should include your device and I am talking about the Redmi Note 11 series phones. This new batch of devices also confirms that Xiaomi is serious about issuing the HyperOS migration for as many of its devices as possible. Find out the list of devices that are getting the Xiaomi HyperOS update in Q2 2024 below:

  • Redmi 11 Prime 5G
  • Redmi Note 11 Series
  • Xiaomi 11 Ultra
  • Xiaomi 11T Pro
  • Xiaomi 11I HyperCharge
  • Xiaomi 11 Lite
  • Xiaomi 11i
  • Mi 11X
  • Redmi 12
  • Redmi 13C
  • Mi 10
  • Xiaomi Pad 5
  • Redmi K50i

Meanwhile, in Q1 2024, the following devices already received the next-generation Xioami OS upgrade:

  • Xiaomi 13 Ultra
  • Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro

  • and the Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G

HyperOS is coming to Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones in global markets

These POCO phones getting the HyperOS update

Besides Xiaomi and Redmi devices, POCO smartphones are also eligible for the HyperOS update. Here is the list:

  • Poco F4
  • Poco M4 Pro
  • Poco C65
  • Poco M6
  • Poco X6 Neo

Talking about HyperOS on Poco phones, the ones such as Poco C55, Poco X5, and Poco F5 have already received the HyperOS or are eligible if they have not yet received the OTA update.

The longer OS support the better

Xiaomi brought HyperOS software to replace its popular MIUI Android treat. Although the new OS remains quite similar, it brings higher security enhancements and some UI and UX optimizations. So far, we do not know the true legibility of devices in terms of their release date. So, it’s quite delightful to know that the phones such as the Redmi Note 11 which was released in 2022 are getting the update.

Major smartphone OEM Samsung has started rolling out an OS upgrade facility for up to 4 years of OS upgrade for their new Samsung smartphones. For its part, Xiaomi is also giving its Xiaomi 14 devices the same years of treatment, we wish a similar treatment for older-generation devices too. Xiaomi phones are hugely popular in Nepal as well as the world so rolling out fresh OS support offers incredible value addition to the users.

We will continue to update the list of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones that will receive the HyperOS software along with their timeline.
