Nepal Telecom (NTC) has begun its 4G mobile network in Barekot. The state-backed operator installed a tower in Barekot Rural Municipality-8, Jantelek, to start a mobile broadband network in the remote area of Jajarkot. The telco distributed free 4G SIM cards during the inauguration of the tower.
Karnali Province assembly member Vedraj Singh inaugurated the 4G gears-equipped tower in the Barekot Rural Municipality.
After the cell tower also called the base station came into operation, the locals of Barekot Municipality-7, 8, and 9 and Nalgad Municipality-5 and 6 benefitted from telecom services. Gorkhapatra wrote that all the under-construction towers in all the seven local bodies will also come into operation soon.
Ntc’s 4G network brings high-speed mobile broadband internet to mobile phones. At the same time, subscribers can also activate VoLTE service to enjoy HD voice and use data simultaneously.

Nepal Telecom 4G in Barekot has spared the locals a walk to the hills for tower signals
Ntc Office Chief of Jajarkot, Gopendra Adhikari, said that the objective is to start cell towers in all seven municipalities to provide 4G to the locals. Yogendra Singh, Ward Chairman of Barekot Rural Municipality-8, said that the need to walk for hours and climb up the hills and trees to make phone calls outside the district is over. The operator has been very active in expanding its 4G services in rural areas keeping services in priority over revenues.
Mr. Adhikari also said that Ntc 4G customers have grown after 20 cell towers in various parts of Jajarkot came into operation. Check out: How to Enable 4G Service in Ntc?
Ntc distributed 700 Ntc 4G SIM as part of promoting its 4G services in the Barekot Rural Municipality during the inauguration of the mobile tower.
